I have quite a lot of knowledge about all three of the glorious cities you
mentioned.
I was born in York and lived there for 18 years - however, I travelled to Leeds
most weekends and still do now (I'm at Uni in Sheffield); Need I say any more
about York? few of the Modslisters live there (notably Tinx) and they also
frequent the Leeds clubs.
My girlfriend lives in Newcastle but is at Leeds Uni at the moment - she too
will confirm that Leeds is best (In general, the further north you go the less
there is happening - ie nothing in Newcastle).
A typical Leeds week is as follows:
Tue - Lava Lounge
Wed - MoveOnUp or Atrium
Thu - Beatmaker
Fri - Brighton Beach
Sun - Psych Night
This is on top of some great clothes and records shops and some very cool faces
about town who you will probably get to know pretty quickly (check out the
Brighton Beach backroom every other friday to see what I mean).
Leeds it is then!
