Start off your weekend with some eye candy. The
dynamic '60s team of model Peggy Moffitt, designer
Rudi Gernreich, and photographer William Claxton is
the subject of the fashion photography exhibition
"Claxton/Gernreich/Moffitt" at the Craig Krull
Gallery, Bergamot Station, Santa Monica.

Some facts from the LA Weekly article
(http://www.laweekly.com/ink/00/02/art-mckenna.shtml)
to pique your interest:
Claxton, in addition to the photographing his model
wife Peggy Moffitt, was "the photographer responsible
for the look of West Coast jazz." He photographed
musicians such as Chet Baker and found the Pacific
Jazz label.
Rudi Gernreich is noted for his "visionary" designs,
such as the topless bathing suit (1964) and the
"pubikini," a bathing suit that exposed the pubic
hair!

The show opens Dec. 4 (4-6pm) and lasts till Jan. 15.
Claxton and Moffitt will sign _The Rudi Gernreich
Book_ at the opening.

all best,
Helen
