The Chicago Mods were lucky enough to go to the Bartender's Ball last nite and
see Mr. James Brown himself perform. All in all, a spectacular performance by
a true showman. Go-go dancers, soul sisters and a huge band all make for a
great show. In fact, James was so good, he got panties thrown at him! Now
that's a sign of talent! I missed the cape tradition, but witnessed the
slide. I consider myself privileged to have been able to see such a showman.
Oh, and free drinks to boot! AND, Grandmaster Flash!
Any of the listers in New York or LA have a chance, please go to the
Bartender's Ball in your respective city. Each event is better than the
next...
