Cowboy hats and mods go together like gravy and rhubarab.
You American 'Mods' do my head in. I'm a British Mod and proud of it.Leave
alone this British identity that you americans are so obviously mixed up
with.
What I was poking fun at is when the British wear cowboy hats, or anyone
that does it purely for fashions sake. Some people, about as many as can get
away with wearing sun glasses indoors - very few - pull it off pretty well,
but most don�t. I'm positive that the introduction of the cowboy hat to the
English music scene, like LSD, signaled the end of Mod, but not necessarily
the end of great music.
I don�t want to open a discussion on why or why not Americans make good
mods, and how it relates to brits wearing cowboy hats, but rest assured I�m
as likely to dress up like an English bobby as I am a cattle rancher. Either
way, it was all a harmless ribbing.
