Hey Derby..
Well, I wandered over there after becoming sick to death of San Francisco
house and jungle clubs. Its really a great place to go and get a beer or
two.. As the nights go on, and pints go down it gets even more fun. You
just have to take it with a bit of a fun.. They play a wide variety of
Smiths, Blur, Cure, some 60's rare groove.. and usually start the night off
with a local band.
Every time I would go there I would seem to notice a couple more scoots
parked up the side. You got a blend of britrockers, mods in full git up..
especially the girls.. and once in a while a bunch of yuppies in kahkis
that migrated from SOMA.
There really aren't any alternatives to popscene besides the so-called-mod
night at Cafe Du Nord.. which when I went was empty.
