I know at least 5 mods and/or ex-mods who've owned Falcons and 3 who owned the Ranchero. (I agree that the years you picked are the best.) One currently still has his '62 and he might be up in SF this weekend for Rage trying to sell yet another scooter out the back of it. If you've got it tuned right, the Ford Ranchero is the perfect scooter hauler, unless your scooter is a Lambretta, which I sadly discovered. The Lambretta is too long and the gate won't close! That and the small engine didn't deter me from hauling 2 Lambrettas to Vancouver, BC or Portland, OR for many scooter rallies a couple of years ago, though. Just prop the gate closed and cruise. My Primavera sure looked cute in the back of my Ranchero, too. Thanks Dan - now I have to go drive up and down the hills of SF in my '91 VW Golf to convince myself that I don't miss the 'ol truck. Anyone got a trailer?

Other than that, the cars I love are mostly European, not all vintage. I think the Audi TT is pretty cool, although it could pass as the "new Kharman Ghia" or at least the cousin. I've also heard it can be difficult to see out of the windows. Most VWs turn me on, including the more recent years.
