| I just realized that LVG is in July this year. So I
| guess that I'd better figure out if I want to go or
| not. I was upset that I had to miss last year's, after
| all. Convince me, kids. The bands booked so far make
| it seem pretty promising, but the summer in Las Vegas
| is the worst! Who all is planning a trip out to the
| scorching desert heat? If enough people that I know
| are going, I suppose it'll be worth it.

Don't worry about the weather - if you plan your trip carefully (ie book the
rooms at the Gold Coast now), there is no actual need to leave the hotel at
all! Besides, there's 1$ frozen margaritas nearly everywhere, so death by
dehydratation is not an issue. About the bands: I don't think that there is
a front act strong enough to justify the travel for itself (that is, if you
already have seen BOTH the Standells and the Remains), but I bet that any
modslister could gather at least half a dozen of the "minor" acts that they
would take to that proverbial desert island.
I don't know if I'm going to this one, as I am more keen to Halloween Wild
Weekend on the British South Coast, but last year's was a riot. I had more
fun than I deserve... and I deserve a lot!
