I'll agree with Beatman not being "mod" that's for sure, but if you like yer 'billy trashy and garage full o' carbon monoxide then Beatman and his label Voodoo Rhytm outta start yer motor... T Rex's, Bolan's rather, "Third Degree" is on the Freakbeat Scene comp on Decca/Deram/Polydor (whatever they wanna call it..) but I don't know if that series is available on vinyl, sorry. 70s Mods...? Found up north keeping the faith mostly I believe... Down south I guess they were making the scene in less obvious ways. Jesse Hector, for one, was knocking 'em sideways at the Nashville and various other venues during the early days of punk... I guess it depends on yer take on what was "mod" at the time... Or do you mean in the classic sense? Obviously most folks on this list have differing opinions. I mean, Brit-Pop? That ain't my idea but many here seem to swear by it.. Eh? I would love to see Richard Lloyd give some 60s classics a good going over at that Nuggets show. I wonder if he'll do "Fire Engine"? Hey Corin, Are you talkin about Chantal Kreviasuk? I hope not! You should hear the commercial for her old man's pool company! Lovely... COLIN ===== COLIN http://www.mohairsweets.mb.ca ____________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
