One program that I use allot for creating/copying cd's is CDR-WIN. The
you can download a fully functioning demo at www.goldenhawk.com (fully
functioning 'cept you can only read/record at 1x) There is a crack
floating around in warez land that unlocks it (go to
www.ASTALAVISTA.com) and you can read/record at your burner's max.
speed. I like the program because it gives you allot more control over
the CD layout than Easy CD Creator. Especially helpful for live
recordings with no breaks between songs (Easy CD Creator will chop it up
and add gaps between the songs- very annoying) As far as copying 78
minute CD's it will trigger an error window. I just hit "ignore" and it
will burn fine, but on some cd players will hang at the end of the last
song.
As far as ripping cd's with mp3's, I know very little, but I do know of
a freeware program by the name of Music Exchange that is made just for
that, which you can download from www.tucows.com.
Some other useful (and free, if you find the serialz) audio programs:
Goldenwave (wav recorder/editor)
Cooledit98 (wav recorder/editor)
Wave Repair (by the makers of goldenwave, for removing record noise
(scratches, ticks, etc.)
Hope this was helpful & happy burning!
