I don't know about laundry, but NYers check out urbanfetch.com. Our
computer consultant uses it and highly recommends it. They'll bring snacks
and whatever else they offer to you in a short-ish amount of time. You can
even rent DVDs which they will drop off. It's $2 for them to pick them up
OR you can order M&Ms for like $1 and send them back with the DVD. Or you
can drop it off an one of their drop-off locations.
