I don't the specifics of certain releases and such but
I do know that Etta James is amazing live. Such a
powerful voice! I had the great pleasure of seeing
her back in December at the Hollywood House of Blues,
where she performed a grab bag of songs like "Tell
Mama," "Besame Mucho," "My Funny Valentine," and some
others I can't recall at this moment.

Great performance, but I just can't shake off the
image of her very voluptuous physique, dressed in a
sequined(?) black pant suit liberally speckled with
gold lame'. I especially can't get out of my mind
those fat sausage-like fingers of hers. Could it be
that it wasn't the fingers themselves but what she
kept using them for? Touching, playing with and
squishing together her big boobies. Etta, oh behave!

> Jimmy Smith released 70 albums did you say?!
> Blimey!!
> I didn't think he'd released quite *that* many!

On a somewhat related note, who is the most recorded
jazz drummer? When Billy Higgins and Cedar Walton
performed at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los
Angeles three summers ago, I remember someone
announcing that Higgins is *the* most recorded jazz
drummer. A percussionist friend of mine, however,
told me that every other drummer makes that claim.

all best,
Helen
