Well, that is what I was gonna say....However if you don't already
have most of this stuff it is an excellent starting point...and will eliminate
lots of time tracking down the originals (which are still the greatest....um...
sorry). However since most of these are just excerpts anyway, you'll
probably want to find these books to get the whole context.
I thought it surprising that Hamblett / Deverson's "Generation X" ('64)
wasn't quoted at all, nor was George Melly "Revolt into Style" ('70)...
Perhaps there were copyright considerations.
Some friends and I were talking about this book the other day and mentioning
how annoying it was that after searching for all these books, somebody
can buy it all pre-packaged from amazon with zero effort involved.
I guess that is the way DJs must feel when all their records are put out on a
comp.
It just keeps getting easier to be a mod. Hell, Piaggio is even coming back to
America.
