The credits are spoken anyway and don't I think mention location - but I
believe it was somewhere in England, probably a 'new town'. So odds are on
the monorail no longer existing. So maybe a substitute funicular for you.
You will I am sure be distressed to hear of Mel Gibson's long-standing plans
to remake Fahrenheit 451. I'm sorry to have to bear these bad remake
tidings. It is pretty much open season on 60's remakes at the mo, but it
will pass. There was a trend in the 50's to badly remake 20's and 30's films
and that passed eventually.
