This just reminded me of a documentary screened on Ovation Channel here in
Australia recently. It was about film publicity and featured a train load of
"mods" (more like fat old scooter boys) being taken down to brighton on an all
expenses - all booze provided train to see Quadrophenia. Phil Daniels was
supposed to make an appearance but didn't and all of the Mods and their tired
old girlfriends were complaining about how crap the whole thing was (despite
filling themselves up on free beer and food) because they had been promised a
meeting with Phil Daniels (wow!).
personally, I was dissapointed to find the door nailed firmly shut in Jimmy's Alley.
