...besides, of all the threads i've seen in the last 24 hours, it has 
certainly gave me more insight than the poor chap who lost his scooter, the 
hard to find mod wax from the 6ts and the posts regarding how americans don't 
know anything about being mod.

in this, i'm "modder than you" day and age, a thread like the one laura 
started can help to bridge the gaps between mods in sf, chicago, dc, ny, 
london, yorkshire, roma, paris...

the best thing about mailing lists is that if you don't like the person the 
message is from or the name of the thread or what have you...  you can just 
hit delete and move on.

if you are looking for something enlightening to talk about, i could go on 
and on about my apartment full of vespas, the original 1967 fifth ny film 
festival poster, designed by warhol himself, hanging on my wall or the fact 
that there are more rockers than mods in this world and how attitudes such as 
yours could lead to the extinction of all you hold near and dear, including 
your beloved "sub-culture."
