As of last week the word is that BMW will be bringing the mini to North
America for model year of 2001. The mini Cooper S will be brought over as
well there is talk of a four wheel drive model married to a 1.6-L super
charged version. The cars will be sold at BMW dealerships and at Rover
Dealerships. With many Americans looking for that smaller, faster and
inexpensive sports car, the feeling is that the car should sell well.
