I am in Boston for the majority of the scholastic year, including now, and I
haven't been writing my Advocate column since last summer. But I'll send
them an email and volunteer to do a write-up or at least give them some info
and opinion... anything to help.

he's also the only person in the area who cares about underground music
enough to have run a few successful clubs in the past decade. He may have a
bad reputation for being shrewd, but, because of this, Fernando Pinto is
doing well enough with his club (especially since getting the liquor
license), shop, and international label. I don't know where you heard this

where?? please let me in the know for next time I'm there! gosh, 18 yrs in a
city and no clue, and then someone moves in and within two months he's all
squared away...

Elevator Music (run by Tune Inn) both are a great place for finding good new

have a vinyl section, not sure since I've only been there once.>>
actually, depending on how much time you have or how familiar you are with
the city, Secret Sounds (www.secretsounds.com) may be more worth your while.
It's recently moved from Bridgeport to the back of a shoe store (Solemate)
in New Haven on York Street and I think (with Waterbury's Brass City) it's
the best in the state...I would suggest it as a perfect in-store show site
for you guys but unfortunately since the move, they haven't got any room...
