I don't give a rat's ass if it's MOD or not - I LOVE TOM JONES!!!!!! I
can't understand when a supposed '60's enthusiast' thinks TJ is purely a
novel Vegas act or just a supper club crooner. He's an amazing performer
with a huge range, and a history and discography that puts a lot of 60's
singers EASILY to shame. I'm a big fan and have seen him live, which is
truly the way to experience Tom Jones, and who cares if he's OLD! He didn't
need a big backing band, scantily clad singers or a light show, and he still
had everyone of every age and persuasion UP out their SEATS, screaming and
dancing. Beat that Mr. Hardest Working Man in Show Business James Brown who
everyone loves. Recommended recrodings: "Live in Las Vegas," "A-Tom-ic
Jones" and he also recorded a few 45's in early in his career with legendary
producer JOE MEEK!
Sure he started to SUCK in the 70's but didn't everybody? Oh, I mean except
The Jam, I forget I'm on the Modslist
