I write a 'zine too - we do get a few stinkers in the post, but the majority
of the bands are good. if it wasn't for the support of smaller record
companies who care more about talent than cash, the mod-scene wouldn't be
what it is
recently, we've had stuff by The Pills, Lindsay Muir's Untamed, and
Artschool etc... excellent material, that I might not have otherwise heard
of - it takes more than a picture of the band sitting on scooters to make me
like a record, but i would never print a bad review anyway (that wouldn't be
the done thing), good music doesn't need to be hyped by record-company
backing.
the original 6T's records were all done in a day on a shoestring and they
have survived the test of time - that's why i like mod stuff, it's all
class!
