You're right...Apparently it was for the new Action vid, or at least that's
what Rob Bailey told me when he was DJing at Brighton Beach that week when you
were all in Manchester...
Anyway back to the Mousetrap. What a night!! They played some RIGHT tunes
upstairs and downstairs was bloody packed!! Everyone who is anyone was there
and the whole joint just swang to the rhythm of the cool (that makes no
apparent sense, I know...). It looks like Lee Miller kept his promise of
bringing more rare records than you could shake some talc at, as both Mr Bolton
and Kat Dixon (nice to meet you, Kat) will testify.
The only downside was an onset of stomach trouble later on, which means dancing
was difficult from then onwards. At least I got a good session in towards the
start of the night!! Still, I now know that one bowl of porridge, one bowl of
all-bran and a load of chocolate truffles aren't the best pre-club apeterif.
Honestly kids, just say no.
