The Insatiable Mr.Taylor wrote: Commuting in today with an old colleague I heard the oddest thing: he had a pirated CD of Beastie Boys B-sides. To my surprise it was mostly Hammond, 60's jazzy MUSIC!I feel dirty for liking it, but they are incredibly versatile as a band. Anyone else hear this stuff? Yeah..The Beastie Boys released an album around 92-93" called "Paul's Boutique (No Not Secular)" which did'nt make it big BECAUSE it was more Hammond jazzfunk stuff then hiphop. They also released an Instrumental album recently, with all there lyricless melodies from b-sides and all their other albums, but I don't remember the name. P.S. along with Jimmy Smith, they have also sampled Donald Byrd and Herbie Hancock Seth ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ______________________________________________ Faster, stronger and able to send millions of emails in one click: the new Topica site! http://www.topica.com/t/14
