hello monica.....i'm joey, but sometimes i'm risley
dale. man...i wish i could say good things bout where
i live, but it's boring.
you play the organ eh????that would be perfect for me
as i'm looking for someone who wants to play the
organ.
i have a farfisa compact, vox jaguar and howard
combo!!
right now, i've been recording songs as the risley
dales, or sometimes risley dale and the dangermakers,
but all by myself, playing all the instruments. i play
pretty strict mod/garage kinds of things influenced by
the likes of all the great organ/fuzz guitar bands!!
i'm in new haven connecticut. it's pretty weak. i get
a
good deal on rent though......i've been trying to
start a garage band for a while. i only want to play
with people who really appreciate 60's style music and
understand music has to have rhythm and make you feel
good. i just found a drummer who's willing to tap out
a constant motown/bill wyman kind of beat and that
ain't so bad.
the people here are all kind of stuck on bad powerpop
and emo...........yale is here, and you'd think that
would help, but alas it doesn't.
right now, i'm only here hoping to get another job in
nyc so i can move there. it's not my favourite place
in the world, but better than here.
i realize new haven won't be an option for you,
but i hope that you'd write me back. i'd like to make
a tape of a few of my songs for you, and i'll fill the
rest with some boss soul and garage numbers if you'd
like. it would be good to have someonelse here them.
