As funny as it all seems to the imagination.
I experienced such blasphemy first hand!
Back in October 98 when I went to Pete Townshend's solo gig at the Astoria
in Shepherds Bush.
Now half way through the night he started proclaiming about how he was at a
free-style rap club a couple of nights back.
He then said that he was amazed by this one bloke so much that he invited
him there and then to come and do a bit of free styling to one of the songs
he was performing.
The song was 'Baby don't you do it'.
Ha ha it was funny, Townshend opted out of a drummer for that set of solo
gigs and had expensive backing tracks instead.
This allowed him to have a so called funky drum sequence cut in half way
through the song and this white bloke in a safari style body warmer, beanie
hat and shades runs on and starts jumping around splerting our as fast as
hell all this stuff about his baby and how she shouldn't do it.
Baby don't you do it........he finishes.
It was a right laugh, I wonder if he realised that the audience were
laughing at him!
Great fun.
So no worries about coming up with a silly idea because Pete's already had
ago .
