"Let's Go" by the Cars.

Its got all the details: the driving beat, the great guitar hook, the catchy
bridge, the verses that build in intensity, the hand claps, the shout-along
chorus, and its SHORT.

Runner up: "In My Own Time" by the Three O'clocks

Any other suggestions from the list?

I have a few I think qualify...

"Accidents Will Happen" by Elvis Costello

"Same As It Ever Was by Talking Heads

"Tainted Love" by Soft Cell

I know I'll get crap for that one, but it's got a great beat, and Soft Cell
was covering an obscure soul tune by the Marvelletes(?)
