Actually, I'm convinced that the harpsichord part in this song was, at
least in part, based on "I Haven't Got the Nerve" by The Left Banke.  If
you play the two songs back to back, I bet you'll feel the same.  The only
point I would otherwise use to defend this is that The Four Tops covered
"Walk Away Renee" in 1967; so it seems that somebody at motown had that
Left Banke LP floating around the offices.

I'm reasonably sure there's a song by the CA band December's Children which
is on a World Pacific 45.  I just can't remember the title at the moment.
