That's great that you are fluent in both french and english. Unfortunate for
me, my attempts at learning french in the classroom, never took fruit,
really. I suppose one has to be surrounded by french people....
Here are some suggestions for your reading enjoyment:
1. Bonjour Tristesse - Francoise Sagan (published in the late 50s)
2. Farenheit 451 - Kurt Vonnegut Jr.
3. Godard on Godard -Tom Milne 1972 (Film criticism, taken from Cahiers du
Cinema which Godard wrote for)
4. Valley of the Dolls - Jacqueline Susann 1966 (I know this is American,
but it's really fun reading.....)
5. Juliet of the Spirits on paperback-Fellini
What you can do is go to a used bookstore and look up some old titles or ask
the Bookstore clerk; lots of books were published again after the film first
viewed. I'm sure you'll have no problem...
Hope that helps!
Leenda
Jimi, do you have any suggestions?
