skinheads are an offshoot of the original Mod movement. I have always been
more similar to what I've heard described as a Hard Mod -- Steel-Toe Boots,
Short hair, pure allegiance to My Levi's 501's, a great collection of Freds
and Bennies, and a slew of Oi! and Skinhead reggae records stashed in with
my Northern Soul and revival stuff. How's that?
OK, here's the question I asked a while ago. Why mod-skin? Aren't those two
mutually exclusive?
