Mostly mod will do, except when you're talking about the differences between
two mods. It's like you have candy, then you might be more specific and say
M&M's, then you peanut or chocolate M&Ms. You can say M&Ms generally but
their are times when you need to be more specific. And you're not telling me
that skinheads don't have little sub-categories? That 60s style skinheads
don't call Oi! style skins boneheads?

What puzzles me about the general trend of your questions is the way you
seem to be obsessed with chasing down definitions of certain terms - and
terms like mod that are elusive at best, and then getting angry at the lack
of precision in our answers - or complaining if we're too precise (i.e.
what's the point in saying soul mod when you can say mod). Are you compiling
a new dictionary, perhaps, with a smaller set of words and very accurate
definitions?

I'm asuming there's a reason behind this apparent madness and would like to
know what it is.
