For those fools out there whoever doubted Mick Talbots Mod credentials should look no further than his latest project to make them think otherwise.... Thats right, Mick is currently lending his SUPERB keyboard/organ skills to none other than Lulu's backing band on the BBC1 classic, 'The National Lottery Show'. Lulu has denied reports that this situation has caused one or two problems within the band - despite bassist Paul Glover saying that: "He keep badgering us to play You Need Wheels every 5 minutes, and he also wont stop fondling my ears!" - Lulu sensationally appeared on tonights show wearing a purple and black striped boating blazer, white trousers, red socks, and white boating shoes. Mick Talbot was unavailable to comment after the show. I also hear that John Shuttleworth is to be announced as support to Paul Weller on his forthcoming tour - when asked about this Paul said: "I like him 'cos, y'know, his songs are cool - plus he wears a roll-neck and leather jacket so, y'know, its a Mod thing.....". Expect end of show encores including Weller, Shuttleworth, Noel Gallagher and various members of OCS jamming '500 Bus-Stops' into Neil Youngs 'Ohio'. And just to end on a lighter note, a joke: Select magazine gave the new Oasis album a cracking review! I know, I know, you think I'm making this up dont you?
