This question has been addressed in Modslist fairly recently. You are not
looking for a Desert boot, which by definition would have rounded toe and
crepe sole. What you need to look for is a suede Chukka boot, whick will
have a more narrow toe box than a classic desert boot,but still not the
"pointed toe" you seem to be craving.
