All you UK based groovers, don't forget this Saturday (19th) is The Hideaway
Club's first anniversary.
The most progressive Mod Club in the land presents 60's R&B and Club Soul
with Special guest DJ's Les Hare (Mr Kingbee) and Matt and Nick Hudson (The
Underground & New Untouchables respectively).
9pm to 2am, �3 Entry. Be early it's gonna be packed. This will be the last
night at The Mitre Hotel (opp MCR Cathedral) as we move on to a bigger and
better venue in March.
And yes Matt, you will probably hear "The Hurt" but not the obvious Freddie
North or BB King versions that everyone else plays - maybe... just maybe....
you'll hear the male vocal group version by The Escorts. Also, you recently
mentioned Doo Wop at The Wilton - one of the biggest tunes at The Hideaway
over the past 6 months has been "Don't You Know" by West Siders - a Doo Wop
record ! Funny ol' game innit.
