>being open minded to me might entail adventures and willingness to >go
>to south east asia, back pack through vietnam to cambodia, >sleeping on
>spider-infested floors of abandoned temples.
No, that's just addled! I think there's always a lot of confusion
between 'open-minded' and 'discriminating'. Not that there's any link
between the two and mod - you can be a narrow-minded but indiscriminate
mod ('love' any 60s soul track that you've been told is a 'mod' track) -
or vice versa.

>Their style of dress...predictable, just like somebody mentioned
>--?>fred perry, ben sherman, anoraks --not very 'different'. (though
>>maybe as a male, there is significantly less options for dress)
I always find that last statement a bit crap - men have plenty of
options for dress if they start considering things like fabric, collar,
cuffs, cut, cuff-links, etc, that old 'attention to detail' thing. It
depends how 'individual' you like your individuality - heart on sleeve
wierdness and extremity, or a creative espression within a set of
'rules'. And that in itself kind of links in to, say, Modern Jazz vs
free-jazz/improv, or any sort of creative activity that has no limits vs
within limits - the latter imposes a direction to focus your creativity
on - look at any creative area that's set out to break all limits and it
rapidly runs out of steam - it's amazing how similar most extreme music
and extremem 'individuals' are.

>essense of the whole lifestyle. If only I know what I'm talking >about.
>Ladies and gentleman, we are floating in space!
Now was that reference to Sophie's World quote or Spiritualized?
