I suppose back in the 60's people were less aware of sub-culture, even
though just as many existed. In general most people are more
intelligent/aware than they were then, due to mass media interest in
sub-culture and pop-psycology.
also we are livig in a predominantly post-modernist society. Ignorance is
the new growth industry - as the gap between computer literate people, and
those who fear technology.
Information is the new currency, and knowledge is power(sic)

>2. When talking of 'the mod scene' who exactly are you talking about?
A- When I talk about "the md scene", it's from my own perspective
>3. Two mods go to a [insert contemporary music] club. Does this make
>style X mod?
A- No, it usually means that they are slumming it.
>6. A mod goes to a Style X club. Are they still a mod if:he dresses the
>same/he dresses as Style X, but says they're a mod/they still go to mod
>clubs as well/roclaim style X is the new mod, and cease going to mod clubs.
A- there are no rules, I've seen the mod scene go from garage to ska to jazz
to revival to soul etc... as each new crowd of mod-people arrives on the
scene, they will change it with their preferences, and long may they
continue to do so!
Just be yourself first, and a "mod" second, that way you will bring
something interesting to the scene.
