True... why waste time with them, when you would be better off trackingdown some original music by The Boys or Dr Feelgood?Go for the real thing!>>>> And I agree. Probably one of the best "Mod" comps is the Decca/Polygram one in the Scene series - also includes Freakbeat, Psych, Northern (avoid!!) and R&B etc.. I don't have anything against revival bands really but they good ones are pretty few and far between. I still say if I'm gonna listen to one it'll be the Chords. Tho back to Moke's point; check out Dr Feelgood, especially the first 3 records - Down By The Jetty, Malpractice and Stupidity. Raw R&B roots played by a nasty bunch with as much zeal as you could ever want. My other recommendation of course is the Gorillas. Simply put, the Gorillas are the most stylish bunch of jumpin over the amps, rollin' around the floor, guitar smashing rockers the world has ever known! Just have a look at one picture of them and you will be hooked! COLIN ===== COLIN http://www.mohairsweets.mb.ca ____________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
