From: Julian Lawton <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | More single news: Vestax are bringing out a home vinyl cutter! Yes, for | 5000 quid you can record your CDs to vinyl (not acetate). Yes, I saw it some months ago in one of those trendy electronic music magazines (I bought it for the Hammond / Vox / Farfisa samples only on the cover CD, honest!). It certainly looks the part, the downside of it being that the price of the necessary vinyl "blank records" starts at about 5 quids / 8 dollars each (or so I heard). This makes it pretty unpractical for average pressings. On the other hand, it looks a fantastic tool for djs, clubs and so, allowing them to sell their sets on vinyl with no external intervention (ie more money to the "artist"). Now, let's wait until some high street entrepreneur buys one and starts renting it by the hour in the style of those arty, I-Mac powered "photocopy-sterias" ---Pablo de la Cruz [EMAIL PROTECTED] _____________________________________________________________ Want to find the best email lists?
