My take as I've stated before on the list is that if you like "the Snake"
you need to check out "the Devil went down to Georgia" by the Charlie
Daniels Band.

Nope its the Snake alright.
I once interviewed a venerable Northern dj for my modzine, and he said "You
rarely hear that at a Northern night, except maybe an oldies set, when the
dj couldn' find ANYTHING else, and he'd throw that on, just because he could
find anything by accident."
It may be a golden oldie, but it has been played once too often by niave
dj's for years now.
Incidentally, I was listening to a Northern comp on the way to work the
other day, and just as The Snake came on, a large white truck with SSSS
written on the side, pulled out in front of me...but I digress.
What record would be the American equivalent of the above.
