I'd suggest '85 ways to tie a tie'. Starts off with a history of the 
cravat, stock and tie, before then using mathematics to come up with a 
theory of aesthetic knots, which conveniently correctly identifies the 
existing knots, as well as allowed them to come up with a few new ones 
(9 moves being the limit). The more moves the fuller the knot so one way 
be suitable, though of course you might run out of cravat first . . the 
book also identifies it's earlier sources.
