Thought I'd share with you two records I picked up today that maybe of some interest to some of you... "They Call Me Mister Tibbs" soundtrack by Qunicy Jones - an excellent record for those of you that love swinging Hammond Jazz. There are some outstanding tracks on this one, including one called 'Fat Poppadaddy' which rivals any Hammond instrumental you will have heard. A definate must-have if you havent already! Secondly, "The Basic Principles of Sound", a compilation released on Soundsational Records. Very strange comp in that there is no info anywhere on the sleeve to say why it has been put together, when, and why! However, the music is fantastic - Upbeat funky Easy Listening, some vocal some instrumental (one such is The Beatles 'Come Together' performed by Cicero)....Its consistently brilliant throughout, and even if 'Chewing Gum Delerium' by The Free Pop Electronic Experiment was the only track on it, it would still be worth picking up! If you can get hold of either of these two, then I would strongly recommend buying them! Cheers, David. ---Open Email - Email on your TV--- _________________________________________________________ Enlighten your in-box. http://www.topica.com/t/15
