What is this goofy Dutch person doing writing in Spanish you ask? Well,
not much, but it does remind me of a couple King's English shows coming
up!
First, we're excited to be teaming up once again with The Moto-Litas,
who we had a great time playing with in March. We're happy to have
been invited back to Dotties by the Moto-Litas for a fun filled night on
Friday, April 21. We'll be playing this show as a four piece.
Then, on El Cinco de Mayo the King's English return to The Star
Community Bar with another of our favorite bands and local legends, The
Lizardmen! We encourage you to buy Xavier Cougar many marguaritas this
night, as not only is it Independence Day in Mexico, it's also Xavier's
birthday! Unca Phuzz will be joining us for this gig to give us full
strength!
In other news, our trip to St. Louis was a blast! The show wasn't
terribly well attended, but the King's English played what might have
been their best show yet. Thee Lordly Serpents did their home town
proud with a wailin' set that rivaled The Cynics at their best for pure
volume! Whoa! Are my ears bleedin'? We missed our Midwestern
brothers, The Conquerors, whose van caught fire in Iowa. Everyone is OK
and they made it back home safely, so we're happy for that.
