Hi All!
I know I only ever seem to talk about the latest records that I have bought, but I
figure I'm letting some of you know about some great record syou may not have come
across and would love to own - stop me if I'm boring you! Anyway, the latest two I can
recommend are...
"Fizzy Soul Cocktail" - excellent soul comp on Cheeky Monkey records. 14 excellent
tracks, including stuff like "Hot Potato (Part 2)" by the Rinkydinks, "Boo-ga-loo
Party" by Joe Swifts Internationals, "The Fat Man" by T-K-O's, and "Do What You Wanna
Do" by Dee Dee Barnes to name but a few. An excellent mix of vocal and instrumental
dance-floor soul.
Number 2 is the awesome "Vital Organs" - a truly superb Hammond instrumentals
compilation on the Groovy Sounds label. 10 tracks by artists like The TMG's, Ross
Carnegie, Toussaint McAll, Jimmy Willis and The Organics. This is a must for all
Hammond fans. The labels web-site address is...
www.groovysounds.com
I would be interested to here from anyone who visits this site as I dont have internet
access and I'd be keen to know what other releases this label has come up with.
Anyway, hope this has been of some use to some of you.
Cheers, David.
