Mod schmod, I want my monkey man. Anyway, I'm not the Londonest person
around but I did attend Trash when I was there last month. Definitely a lot
of fun, I was very impressed by the eclecticism and sense of humor displayed
throughout the set. "Blue Monday," "Baby One More Time," "Get Into The
Groove," some Suede song, "Ace of Spades" and even some very downtempo (dare
I say boring) Make-Up song all co-mingled in harmony. According to my
London friends it is also some kind of Swedish girl magnet...and they're
there to find themselves English men? (I'll have to take their word for it)

Anyway, a very inspired night to be sure. Sometimes the themed nights just
don't do it anymore and you need to have someone perversely juxtapose tunes
for you, if only for a laugh. (Though I had a nice time at Da Doo Ron Ron
while I was there too, even if it wasn't packed to the gills like Trash.)

Speaking of nights, this list isn't the first place where I've heard about
Lordy Lord being mediocre. What exactly is so bad about his night? Just
curious, as I've never been, and because there's so much unanimous (in my
experience anyway) dismissal of it.
