As usual John has his finger on the pulse of everything...Now you know two
places to buy ALCOHOL...and he names an entire city as a good place to get
HIGH. He mentioned the teen night at 330 Ritch (not Rich) where Kool &
The Gang
and Duran Duran are played... Sheesh...
At least he mentioned The Deluxe this time (but I'm pretty sure he's
never been
there, according to previous posts) which hosts both Hip Hugger and
Flamingo West
on Fridays.
First Monday of every month at 330 Ritch St. is "In N Out" soul night.
Every Wednesday at Ruby Room in Oakland is Soul/Funk.
Local Hammond heroes Nick Rossi Set play frequently, and be on the
lookout for
garage bands Tee & Thee Crumpets (starting a European tour this month) and
The Servants. The In-Citers also play a Northern Soul gig ocassionally...
that's off the top of my head...plus regular scooter rallies including
one at the
end of May.
I'm sure many things will be posted here though...
