I disagree, vehemently. Glibness is needed now, more so than ever before. It
is our chief weapon in the fight against earnestness, which is the true
enemy. I also positively encourage flipness and facetiousness and cynicism
too. For too long these virtues have been unfairly chastised as shallow, but
the truth is that fresh faced enthusiasm and open-hearted naivete is just so
very, very tiring.
