AH Well, the jokes on me...please forgive me for being open to wide array of
styles and the eras that influence them...I must have forgotten which
mailing list this was..I keep forgetting that in order to appreciate any
sort of modernist design, style, music,culture etc, it has to be at the
exception of anything else in it's wake. Dopey me!
As I've said as I've wandered on and off this list for the last 4 or 5
years, I DON'T consider myself a mod by any stretch of the imagination...I
just dig quite a few elements of it and have met/corresponded with many
like-minded people on this list over the years. I couldn't possibly care
less if I'm considered a mod, a "fifties-freak" , or a freakin' whirling
dervish. I like what I like and I make no apologies for it.
And you have to admit, the thing does look a lot like a Crosley...whether
Mods like Crosleys is beyond the realm of my concern. Like I said,love it
or hate it, it will be interesting to see what effect the popularity of
this thing has on the other automotive companies and their upcoming designs.
I really hope this isn't going to start yet ANOTHER round of
"who's-really-a-mod-and-who-isn't"...my eyes will start to cross.........
