Hey all,

One of the things I valued when I was last on the modslist a few years back
was finding out about what other people were playing. Anyway, St. Louis
has an erratically attended mod night every monday which I always miss
because of the hours I work. Since today was a holiday in the US, I was
off, and one of the regular dj's, my friend Jim Hogenmiller, talked me into
coming up and spinning some tunes, and here's what I played (not
necessarily in the correct order):

Prey For Drinking - Dodgy
Show Me - Joe Tex
Alfie's Theme - Sonny Rollins
Understanding - Primal Scream and P.P. Arnold (say what you
will, it's better than the Small Faces' original)
Sleep On The Left Side - Cornershop
Destination Anywhere - The Marvelettes
Green Onions - Booker T. and the MG's
Radio, Radio - Elvis Costello
Sidekick - Sugardaddy
Alright - Supergrass
The Kids are Alright - The Who
Walk on the Wild Side - Jimmy Smith
Your Mind is on Vacation - Van Morrison and Georgie Fame
It Didn't Matter - The Style Council
Wade in the Water - Ramsey Lewis
Another Late Night - The Untouchables
Something - Booker T. and the MG's
Just Like Livin' - Mose Allison
One Day - Dodgy
Angels at Play - Common Rider
Mrs. Robinson - James Taylor Quartet
The Dark End of the Street - Percy Sledge
Peace, Love, and Happiness - Elvis Costello
End of a Century - Blur
Danger Heartbreak Dead Ahead - The Marvelettes
Song of a Baker - Ocean Colour Scene (played for Jim)

Anyway, this was my first time dj'ing (hence some of the very obvious
cuts), and I annoyed myself a few times with bad tempo changes between
songs, but all in all, I had a blast.

cheers,
scott
