Unless you are mechanically inclined there is no $300 scooter that is worth
buying by a scooter newbie. Honestly, unless the seller is a complete idiot or
really nice, the bike must be a mechanical basket case.
That and a Vespa 90 is one of the single worst models that Piaggio made.
But if you'd like to take a look at the bike, to at least get a feel for it,
tell me what city you're in and I'll recommend someone with more scooter
knowledge who can go with you to look at the bike. Wait, I seem to recall you
posting something about New Haven, CT? Is that right?
If that's the case visit one of the shops in New York or Boston first, the
knowledgeable people there can give you a good feel for scooters:
- Scooters Originali in New Jersey <http://www.ScootersOriginali.com>.
- Bella Classica in Brooklyn (59 Kent Avenue) 718-486-0500.
- Stranglehold Scooters in Billerica (Boston) MA 978-663-7450
