Katrina,
You'll love Madrid. Granted, mostly I saw the inside of a van and a dressing
room while I was there (which were much more exotic than the vans and
dressing rooms we have in the States), but it's a groovy town. Of course,
make sure you visit the Prado museum. There's supposed to be a really good
record shop called the Record Runner, but I didn't personally make that scene.
The club we played at was a blast. It's called the Moby Dick club and the DJ
played some very cool tunes while we were there. It's a bit more pop
oriented-which suited me just fine. I have a theory that all Scottish people
like loud pop, but I could be wrong. I mean, I'm only basing that on my
record collection, so it could be an incomplete study. Anyway, if you go to
the Moby Dick club you must search out the proprietor, David, and his mad,
mad, mad partner Juan and call them "Motherfuckers" for me. That was the way
they addressed us the entire time we were there. Actually, if you have time,
you could go to my stupid band's website and read my tour diary from Spain
(newly improved with drawings-which you can't really see). Have fun, don't
wreck the place.
Corin
