<< does anyone have the new vespas? 150 px or et4 150 or whatever are they nice? >> >>>I have heard Scooter Works (Chicago) and Vespa are in court over the >>>Vespa trademark, and until that's resolved we won't see any Vespas in the >>>USA. If this is true It really sucks as we were supposed to see the new >>>bikes here a few months ago! Chris C. I'll have to play devils advocate here, but there's a part of me that hopes (if all this lawsuit rumor business is true) that Scooterworks wins the case. Piaggio will begin to profit here in the US off it's image of the classic Vespa, while historically has distanced itself from aiding in any way classic bike owners (in the US), basically tell us to go fuck ourselves, have someone else make yergoddamn spares!. Alright, so I guess I have a pretty large chip on my shoulder, but Piaggio is the father-who-abandoned-you-at-birth-now-that-your-grown-wants-you-to-hang-out-with-his-new-family-at-there-crappy-timeshare-for-the-weekend or something like that. Of course, this rant wouldn't be complete without me saying something completely paranoid/delusional, so here goes: vehicle laws (emissions, titling, taxation, registration, etc.) concerning vintage/classic machines is getting tighter every year although historically further restriction is lead by either rich environmentalists or auto insurance companies, I'm sure we can look forward to Piaggio's involvement to help get you off that old, pollutin' rust bucket, and onto one of there shiny new offeringswith a little push from the law. Viva la resistance! I thought I felt a rant coming on.
