about the tackyness... yes during the day... not so much at night...
but during the day it just screams 50s lounge singer...

*And what's so bad about that? I'd wear my sequinned dress everywhere if i
could, even to the supermarket, singing 'Girl Talk'!
I found a really lovely tonic mohair skirt suit in a second hand shop for
15! (that's $22.50). it's beige and as it's mohair, the tonicness of it is
quite subtle and not glaring like Bacofoil. Lovely cut - it must be early
60's as it looks like something that Miss Moneypenny would've worn. Three
buttons, high round neck with round collar (but not actually around the neck
- not a Nehru!). Knee-length skirt, 3/4 length sleeves. Gorgeous. I used to
wear it to school when i was in the sixth form.
I got a tonic skirt from the Merc, and it's practically unwearable - it's
too short for a straight-cut skirt, it wasn't lined (though i think they
line the skirts now), so it didn't do to stand infront of a bright light, if
you see what i mean. It also kept riding up, and there's few things worse,
in my opinion, than a girl in a short skirt who keeps tugging it down every
few seconds. However, it was a beautiful purple tonic, which they don't do
anymore. ALso, it's only been recently that they have made jackets
differently for women. (though i rather like their silver tonic trousers!)

But that's enough about tonic - does anyone have any contact details for
'The Impact' - someone on here must do! If so, please contact me off-list.
Thank you in advance.

And also - who's the irl on the new Mousetrap flier? Only i rather like her
trousers...
