Some comments on clothes in London:
Personally I think both the Merc's and Babzotica's clothes are horrible.
I also STRONGLY suggest staying away from The Face/Sherry's (the same
shop effectively) as they sell NOTHING decent that you can't get
elsewhere (usually MUCH cheaper)
The new Sam Walker shop (nr. Covent Garden) is pretty cool and sure
beats the Merc!
The best vintage shops are probably:
Dolly Rockers,
Yesterday's Bread.
This doesn't mean that they aren't mainly full of crap though!
Greenwich, Camden and Portobello Markets are also pretty good.
Also worth checking are Radio Days and What The Butler Wore (nr.
Waterloo)
Shener Adam is the best (only?!) place for decent (relatively cheap) off
the peg menswear really. Check him out (nr. Portobello).
As always - the best stuff is tailor made!! It doesn't even have to be
all that expensive really. Emma Silk does lovely shirts for a very good
price.
Cheers,
Paul
